Twelve words are the whole account.
A room is a private message board that exists only for the people holding its twelve-word key. Messages are encrypted in your browser before they reach us, so what we store is an anonymous identifier and a pile of noise — no room name, no key, no way to read a conversation, and no way to get you back into one if the words are lost.
Open a room
Enter the twelve words. They are the address and the key at once, so there is nothing else to supply.
Create a room
We generate twelve words with the browser's cryptographic random number generator and show them to you once. We never receive them, and we cannot help you recover them.
This is the only time you will see these.
These twelve words are the room. They are not stored anywhere on our side, there is no reset, and nobody — including us — can reconstruct them. If you lose them the room is gone permanently, along with everything in it.
What the server actually holds
Every row we store for this room, exactly as stored. No name, no salt, no commitment, no key.
